- Responsible for identifying and applying the needed tools to solve reservoir engineering problems (Pressure Transient Analysis, Reservoir Simulation, Probabilistic Reserve Evaluation, Material Balance, Decline Curve Analysis, Nodal Analysis, etc) with the purpose of optimizing economics on a field basis.
- Responsible for generating/analyzing development plans for oil and/or gas field development applications and preparing a complete economic evaluation optimizing development plans.
- Able to work effectively in team environment with various technical disciplines.
- Responsible for reservoir engineering assistance to the operations, exploration and business development groups.
Key Experience and Skills:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Reservoir Engineer. Proven ability to manage oil and gas assets. A working knowledge of all aspects of reservoir engineering is required such as material balance, numerical simulation, well testing etc. ARIES, MS Suite.

Desired Expertise: Production Geologist

The Company is seeking an experienced Production Geologist with the capacity, drive and innovation to deliver technical and business solutions, which optimize our exploration and production business. As a key member of our Technical Development group, your responsibility will lie in the provision of geological support for both operated and non-operated assets. You will positively and constructively represent the company at our Operator's subsurface work group or technical committee level meetings. You will successfully carry out independent sub-surface modeling and thoroughly assess the Operator's evaluations and proposals. You will continuously support the preparation of business plans. You will be required to work closely with the asset teams as well as other technical staff and specialist staff within the company group.
Key Experience and Skills:
You will be at ease working independently at the same time as drawing on resources and contacts both within the company and the wider Group. Analytical and energetic, you will possess exceptional hands-on modeling skills and have had prior exposure to QC/QA of geological modeling as well as integrated development planning. You will be adept in reviewing and challenging of Operator plans, including risk identification. A key competency underpinning success in this role will be skillful stakeholder engagement; in particular you will exude confidence in all networking occasions with joint venture partners as well as efficiently connecting in a virtual, global environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required and solid technical experience in the upstream oil & gas field will be highly regarded. Prior experience dealing with non-operated alliances would be considered advantageous.
Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in progress. Experience in environmental characterization and field sampling. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work independently on field assignments and write technical reports.
Job Description:
Responsibilities will include assisting with field characterization projects conducting soil and groundwater sampling, installing and logging groundwater monitoring wells, soil vapor monitoring wells, and SVE wells, installation, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, data management, interpretation of chemical data, and assisting with report writing. Entry-level position providing staff-level support to projects. Office work includes report writing, table tabulation, groundwater flow map contouring, boring log work (GINT) and report writing.
